Understanding results, coverage, and the Gist Score

Read the overview, answer evidence, topic associations, and visibility metrics with the right context.

Overview

Overview gives you a concise summary of measured coverage, topic associations, engine coverage, and a next action grounded in the scan. Use it to decide where to investigate next.

Discoverability

Discoverability is where you inspect question-level answers. Filter by topic, engine, or status, then review which people appear and the sources behind the answer.

Your Gist

Your Gist compares the topics you want to be associated with against the associations found in measured answers. It also surfaces cited sources and topic gaps that can guide your next action.

How live coverage is calculated

Live confirmed mention coverage is calculated as confirmed identity-supported mentions divided by returned discovery answers, multiplied by 100 and rounded to a whole percentage. Name-recognition questions, failed checks, and missing answers are excluded from the denominator.

For example, if 3 of 8 returned discovery answers contain a confirmed identity-supported mention, coverage is 38%. This is a measure of the tested sample only.

What the Gist Score means

The browser demo uses a fixed illustrative Gist Score. Live scans use confirmed mention coverage rather than a composite score. Neither metric measures competence, professional quality, reputation, or the value of your work.

A lower result is an invitation to inspect the questions and evidence. A higher result does not prove expertise or guarantee that a client will choose you.

Read missing data carefully

A failed or unavailable answer is not counted as a missed mention. A zero can represent measured absence only when the relevant answer was returned and assessed.
