You’ll see that your name did not appear in the answers checked. That gives you a starting point for future scans. It does not mean you lack expertise.
How soon will my visibility improve?
There is no fixed timeline. AI answers vary, and updates to your website or profiles may take time to appear. Run another scan after making changes. Compare scans that use the same questions, engines and scan method.
What does Gistful measure?
Gistful checks whether your name appears in answers to your chosen questions, which topics those answers connect to you, and which sources they cite. Live mention coverage is the percentage of returned discovery answers that confirm a mention of you. Questions that ask for you by name and failed checks are excluded. The Gist Scores in the previews are illustrative, not mention percentages. Neither measures your ability or qualifications.
Can I add my own questions?
Yes. Edit the suggested questions or write your own, then save them for your next scan. You choose when to scan; Gistful does not run scans automatically.
What do I get for free?
You get one successful scan, once, with up to five questions across four engines. It includes a summary and two answer previews. A completed scan with no mentions counts; failed or incomplete scans do not. All checked answers and sources, recommended changes, step-by-step guides, drafts and further scans require a paid plan.
Will this make AI recommend me?
No tool can guarantee a recommendation. Gistful shows you the answers and cited sources, then suggests changes to your website, profiles and content. You can scan again to see whether your tested visibility changed.
Does Gistful publish content for me?
No. Paid plans include drafts you can edit and step-by-step guides called recipes. Check each draft against your real experience, make your changes, and publish it yourself.
How do paid plans work?
Each paid plan includes a set number of scans and drafts per month. Plans renew monthly; unused scans and drafts do not roll over. Manage renewal in your account. Checkout shows the total, including applicable taxes, before you pay.
