Terms of use

The service

Gistful helps you inspect how selected AI engines answer the saved questions in a scan, understand cited public sources, identify possible evidence gaps, and prepare editable drafts. Scans are initiated by you. They are not passive monitoring, automated publishing, or a measure of your competence, professional quality, or future results. Gistful does not automatically publish content for you.

AI answers can vary by question, date, geography, engine, and available source material. A mention, absence, score, source, or draft is information to review, not a guarantee of recommendation, ranking, accuracy, employment, revenue, or outcome.

Your account and content

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the content you submit. Submit only information you have the right to use. Do not use Gistful to break the law, infringe rights, misrepresent a person, interfere with the service, or send harmful or confidential material that is unnecessary for the requested work.

You keep rights in your workspace content. You give us the limited permission needed to host, process, and display it to provide Gistful. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated drafts before you use or publish them. Do not publish claims about credentials, clients, results, or experience unless you can substantiate them.

Plans and payment

Free includes one lifetime successful scan with up to 5 enabled questions, a summary, and two answer previews. Full evidence, recommendations, drafts, and further scans require a paid plan. The paid plans are Personal (USD $29/month: 4 scans, 10 drafts and up to 15 enabled questions per scan) and Professional (USD $59/month: 8 scans, 25 drafts and up to 30 enabled questions per scan). Each plan includes one workspace across the supported engines. Allowances do not roll over, and there are no automatic overages or unlimited scans. For Free, failed or incomplete scans do not consume the lifetime successful-scan allowance. On paid plans, a completely failed scan or draft returns its monthly allowance; a scan with some successful answers uses one scan. Daily safety limits still apply to attempts.

Checkout, invoices, taxes, payment methods, renewal and cancellation are handled through Polar when billing is enabled. Before you pay, checkout shows the billing interval, applicable taxes and total payable. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Cancel renewal through Account → Manage billing; a period-end cancellation keeps access until the end of the paid period. Keep the cancellation confirmation. Contact us if you cannot access the portal. Checkout terms apply together with these terms and cannot reduce mandatory rights. Creating or returning from checkout does not by itself grant access; access follows verified subscription status. Manage an active subscription through the customer portal available in Account.

Withdrawal, refunds and complaints

If you buy as a consumer, distance-contract law generally gives you 14 days from entering the contract to withdraw, subject to statutory exceptions. Starting to use Gistful does not, by itself, waive that right. We do not treat acceptance of these terms as separate consent to lose a withdrawal right.

To withdraw or request a refund, email hello@gistful.co with your account email, purchase date and a clear statement of your request. You can use: “I give notice that I withdraw from my Gistful subscription purchased on [date], under [account email].” No particular form is required. Do not send card details. We coordinate payment requests with Polar. Where withdrawal law requires reimbursement, it is made within the applicable statutory deadline, normally 14 days after notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Canceling future renewal and refunding a past payment are separate actions. Outside mandatory rights, a refund is assessed under the purchase terms and circumstances; no automatic refund is promised. You retain statutory rights if the service is defective or not provided. Send written complaints to the same email or the postal address on our Legal information page; we acknowledge receipt without delay and respond to consumer written complaints within 15 days.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Gistful where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, or the service’s operation. We may update plans or prices for a future billing period with notice where required. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, non-payment, or security risk.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gistful is provided as available and without promises that a scan, source, or generated draft will be complete, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. You should independently verify important information and seek professional advice where appropriate.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and nothing limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Croatian law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away mandatory protections or court rights available under the law that otherwise applies to you. Company and postal contact details appear on our Legal information page.

Ending use and questions

You may stop using Gistful at any time. Workspace erasure does not close your sign-in account or cancel an active subscription. Use the separate Close account flow in Account for full closure. An active paid period or unfinished checkout may prevent automatic closure until billing is resolved. This does not prevent you from exercising a statutory erasure or withdrawal right: contact hello@gistful.co for earlier closure or help exercising those rights.
