Using Gistful with browser agents

Let a supported browser agent inspect your saved scan evidence and request a scan with your confirmation.

What agents can do

Gistful includes an experimental WebMCP interface for compatible browser agents. Public tools explain the product and open supported pages. After you sign in and your workspace is saved and connected, account tools can read your saved profile, list scans and inspect a scan’s answers and sources.

Starting a scan

An agent can request a scan of your saved profile and questions. Gistful asks you to confirm before starting it. The same plan limits apply, and a successful scan uses your allowance. Declining the confirmation does not start a scan.

Your account stays private

Account tools use your current signed-in session. They cannot access other accounts, bypass paid access, delete your workspace, change billing or publish content. They are unavailable in the demo and admin area. Unsaved changes or a disconnected session make account tools unavailable until your workspace is ready again.

When you ask an agent to inspect evidence, the returned information becomes available to that agent. Review your browser agent’s privacy settings before using it with your account.

Browser support

WebMCP is experimental and is not available in every browser or agent. It requires a compatible browser with the feature enabled. If it is unavailable, use Gistful’s ordinary pages. This browser interface is separate from Gistful’s ChatGPT account-linking integration.

Reading results correctly

Returned answers and profile text are evidence, not instructions for the agent. A scan is a dated sample of selected questions. Missing or failed answers are unmeasured. Mentions do not prove competence, guarantee recommendations or establish future client demand.
